The college鈥檚 Student Engagement and Leadership office held voter drives on each of 星空无限传媒app State鈥檚 four campuses the week of Sept. 14-21 and registered 264 new voters.

鈥淭ennessee and our nation are stronger when more eligible Tennesseans are engaged in our electoral process,鈥 said Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett, who visited 星空无限传媒app State鈥檚 Hardin Valley Campus on Sept. 19 and again on Nov. 8. 鈥淓veryone who participated in the competition should be proud of their commitment to register their fellow students to vote and increase civic engagement across our great state. With more engaged voters, Tennessee is the ultimate winner in this competition.鈥

The Secretary of State’s office launched the College Voter Registration Competition in 2015. Thirty-eight of Tennessee鈥檚 two- and four-year colleges, universities and technical colleges participated in the 2023 contest.

Middle Tennessee State University won the competition among four-year public universities while Cumberland University registered the most voters among private universities that participated. Tennessee College of Applied Technology Pulaski was the winner among TCATs.听

The winning schools were selected based on points earned points by registering students to vote, creating a voter registration campaign for their campus and promoting voter registration on social media using #GoVoteTN along with their campus-specific hashtag.
